I am installing a 72 Nova rearend in my 41, 2 door sedan. I have heard that the S-10 rear disc setup is a direct bolt-in swap. Do any of you have any experience with this? If it will work, I'll need to know what year S-10, 2X4 or 4X4, and if it will work with the C-Clip eliminator kit.

I donn't know about the S10, but I found that most if not all conversions won't work unless you get the weld ons.

After researching this further, I've found that the reason that most of the conversion kits don't work, is because they bolt on to the outside of the axle flange. This is also where the C-Clip eliminator bolts on. I have found a caliper bracket the bolts on to the inside of the flange. It works with rear Seville or front Monte Carlo calipers depending on whether you want parking brakes. I am still researching to find out what rotor is used. The kits come with standard rotors and I would prefer drilled and slotted. Thank You

I used 79 Seville backing plates with 79 Firebird rotors. I used S10 front calipers because the caddy calipers were junk so I don't have the parking brake hooked up yet. All I had to do is have the axle flange turned down a tiny bit so that it would fit in the rotor hat. Everything bolted right on and I can get parts at any parts store because they are all factory parts.
