I had the the heads rebuilt on this car when I bought it cause it had head gasket failure. Replaced all the gaskets, plugs wires, filter. It ran fine for me for a couple weeks. My brother in law bought it from me and it has went to crap. Getting po300 random misfire. No cel until you try to give it more than 1/4 gas. It has no power going up hills or at more than a quarter throttle. The revs go up but it slowly speeds up. We have replaced a one cool pack that tested bad, a plug that had a crack in the ceramic part, and the fuel filter. We're getting ready to change out the fuel pressure regulator and have a pump on order. We tested the psi at 38-40 with the key on, and 34-40 with motor running. Around the same driving around i think about 35 at wot. Unplugging the regulator shoots the pressure up to 60 or so motor running. I tried unplugging the maf to see if it would make a difference and it didn't even throw a cel? So I unplugged the larger connection just behind the maf plug and then it gave me a cel and a reduced engine power light. I was thinking fuel issue either the hose in the tank is rotted or the pump itself is starving the motor or sensor? Anyone have any ideas before I cut the exhaust pipe and drop the tank? It seems like it has got progressively worse. Also we changed the filter and fluid in the trans, it seemed to help some of the issue but I don't think it's the torque converter or trans cause it shifts fine in all gears when slowly speeding up.

Just replaced the fuel pump and regulator and it didn't change the issue. Ive read some issues with a transmission sensor pulling back spark. The car does have a problem with the traction control light coming on sometimes but it's currently turned off or at least the button is. Any ideas?
