My '61 Bel Air as it looked new in 1961. That's my aunt (owner of the car then) and me.




And here is the same car today. I was able to buy the car earlier this year after it had sat un-used in a field for the past six or seven years. It took me a while to get it running again, but it's back in shape now. All that's left is a new paint job and work on the interior. The car is sitting in just about the same spot it was in the 1961 photo (the house is mine now).



It's good to have my aunt's car back and to have it back "home" where it belongs.

Yep, Birthdays are starting. Went and checked mine, 11B. Looks better than me (06C-1963).

Yellow caps are correct until late Jan. '63, after that the caps were black. My general rule is if the car had the black firewall the battery caps should be black, body color firewall would have yellow caps. No real connection there just that the battery cap color change took place about the same time as the firewall color change. Perhaps Verne will add to this
