Yes Alex. We made a few minor adjustments.

1. Ride-tech air ride system,.
2. Budnik 20x10 on rear and 19x8 up front.
3. Replaced power windows with Nu-Relic system.
4. Fixed the $600 in minor issues that got that eBay buyer to refuse to take it.

What do you think?

Jerry

It's giving me ideas 'cause those spoke wheels from 'rip off Cadillac place' are starting to rust and they really are a pain in the 'assets' to clean!!

Here she is again. She's all finished and ready for the trip home.
The picture is taken in front of Paradise Road Rod & Custom in
Indianapolis, IN. They are responsible for much of the work on this
car. I can't wait to get her home and out and around town.

Love the wheels and tires. What sizes did you use. I'm thinking along the line of 8.5 x 20 for the front, and 9.5 x 20 for rear. Think they'll fit?

got the Impala Feb 2013, this was my 4th finned chevy but was bored cause it was finished, around Apr. got the ElCamino it had an older restoration. at first wanted to keep it in driver condition but one thing led to anoughter and anoughter now I'm at the stage of doing a frame swap and replacing the rear seat pan and then the Quarters.(has the fiber glass and 2 inchs of bondo back there). Who knew the repairs that I did in my teens in the 70s would come back to haunt me in my 50s Ha Ha.

Does your El Camino still have the original seat fabric and door panels? I'm trying to find out what they looked like so I can restore mine.

No, one of the previous owners changed the seat to a early Cadillac 60/40 elec. bench. all the Elkys that I've seen or knew were original, had just a pretty much plane vinyl with stamping design. if you watch videos on -you-tube- you can find a old barn find video that'll have good ref pics. just type in 1959 ElCamino . should find something there or carsonline-ads.com hope this helps.

We're fine. We've finally landed in a new home north of Chicago. We still own the Impala but it's on consignment at Gateway Classics for sale. I'll leave it there through the winter and if not sold, I'll remove it and drive it.

I hate the air ride and wheels so I'll make some changes if that happens.

Jerry

Hey Guy's thought I'd introduce myself and my car...
Hey guys names Phil from Melbourne Australia...
Just purchased this 59 Aussie Delivered vehicle from a cousin while I was taking my Dad on a trip up the country to see a few relatives...

We stopped in on one for a quick chat, hadn't seen him for 30 years or so.
He said I hear your into Jaguars? to which I replied only for work my real love is american cars.
He turned to me and said follow me out to the shed. And this is what I found hidden under around 3 years of dust...

Anyway I hope to become a regular around here...

Cheers Phil

We left with my mind ticking away, with a sleep overnight and a chat with my good lady wife.
Dad and I headed back the 5 hours journey by train to collect the old girl.
You'll notice in the above images all the cat paw marks...
Took me a good 10 hours to buff all the scratches out....But she now looks sweet again....

After a good tub and detail....

And the paint after 10 hours buffing a few deep cat scratches remain, but she's come up a treat..

Here's my 60 bel air. Needs some love, but got a great deal, and came with lots of new parts too, and all the undercarriage was redone already.

Here's my '60 Biscayne as it was when I found it at an estate auction in 2010. It had been sitting in the chicken house since 1972.

Here it is as it sits today. It's been lowered some front and rear, has new power brakes (disc front/drum rear), new tubular front suspension, a rebuilt 350 w/4-barrel, dual exhaust, and a new interior.

I hope to upgrade my cruddy white rattle-can paint job this year, but before that happens, I need to replace both rear quarters due to rust-through.
