Since the Cobalt is mechanically the same with a different body, you could also check into how Cobalts hold up to see how an HHR will mechanically hold up. They should have the same engine, transmission, and fuel issues since it is all the same. Of course, body issues will be different.

I have 78,000 on mine and still have not replaced the original factory front rotors, which have been warpped since about 50,000 miles. Shows you how well I maintain the car, lol. No other problems. I need new tires BAD. Wanna loan me some money? JB

78,000 on a 2008 the only thing Ive replaced are the brakes and tires, most trouble free car Ive ever had, it replaced a 2004 Ford Focus which was an absolute POS

I'm at 108,000+, no issues...still getting 30 mpg.

2.2 with 5 speed. Just needs some tires (and the air pressure sensors for the right side have gone out, and at $30 each, they can stay out!)

I traded off my 06 HHR for a '11 Canyon. I hated like everything to see the HHR go. It had 98,000 miles and the only thing I ever needed for it was routine oil/filter changes and front brakes and cabin and engine filters. It still had the original cheap factory rotors. JB

Replaced rotors at 70K the other day, no problems other than that. I cannot fathom why GM quit making these great cars/trucks? Car of the year in 2011 and they stopped!

08 has 108k miles and no problems other than brake rotors warped again after replacement and had to put in New thermostat at about 95,000 miles. We like it, wish Chevy still made them I'd buy another one.

I have a 2007 HHR that just turned 128k miles that I bought in 2008 with 31k miles. I was a repo that I got a good deal on. Only repairs were front wheel bearings under warranty and rotors once and pads twice. Still has original battery, alternator water pump and exhaust. Awesome vehicle, I would buy another one.

1950 Chevy Fleetline 4 door, 216 with a 3 speed.
Why? Because my mom had one when I was little.
