i have a loaner 2007. when i drive in 1st or 2nd (stick shif) at low revs as i transition from on the gas to off, or vice versa, i can hear a click in the rear. sounds like a cv joint. anyone experience this?

ok i had a chance to look at it. parking brake on, 1st gear feather the clutch and it sounds like the cv joint clicks. put it in reverse and do the same and the same click. bad cv joint?

A few things to check; rear sway bar monunting bolts.

Broken shock mount.

The support springs for the x-pipe in the exhaust; push it up and down and listen for the noice.

Most likeley the rear axle nuts. There is a castle nut with washer that needs to be torqued.

no castle nuts. just nuts. loose nuts. i took um off with the short ratchet, like 12 inches long. i put um back on with a 3/4 inch ratchet and a helper bar with locktite. i hope the splines didnt take too much of a beating. i will need to monitor these things.
