I posted a photo on the other forum but I meant to post it here. Had my old car nearly 20 years now.

My wife just recently snuck mine off and had all the paint and body work done, before I returned home from my 2 year stint in Maryland with the Navy. Was an incredible surprise, because I knew nothing about it. It's her retirement gift to me, car looks beautiful now. If any of you guys are on Trifive.com, you probably saw the story I posted there. Here are some pics, hope you enjoy.

There's some very sweet cars in this thread!
OK, I'll put this one up, "PATCHES", pic taken in Makawao, Maui:

It's pretty rough on the outside, but it's a fun ride....

Three photos of your car. Should have three photos of your wife also. She did and excellent job of getting it done.

Here are a couple photos of my '57 Bel Air taken on the day I put it in storage before I PCS'd to Alaska.

It's come a long way from where I started. Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on it until sometime after July 2015 when I return to the lower 48 states.

These are mine, and unfortunately not a Tri 5.
My '1946 British Austin, which was imported new to Canada and found it's way to Washington state. I bought it all original in 2010 from a guy who got it at the Lemay museum's auction. It was one of the cars sitting in their outside yard, and needed restoration.
I saved the rust free body, but added a .030" over 4 bolt main 350, with old camel hump 2.02/a.60 heads, Holley Pro Dominator intake, Isky cam, twin 450 Holley carbs, Speedway tube front axle, TH350 manual shift trans, and a Pontiac rear narrowed 20". I did all work, except the final paint, which is '74 Corvette dark red metallic. My wife and I did all the interior ourselves from scratch, and fitted repro CJ5 bucket seats.

And this is my 1963 Falcon, which I found at a neighbor's house nearby. Originally a 6 cyl. 3 speed car. I gutted everything but the bare shell, and after building up a frame, with subframe connectors to the rear, I dropped in a .040" over 454 Chevy, and Super T10 four speed. The 464 BBC is equipped with Edelbrock oval port aluminum heads, Weiand tunnel ram, twin 600 cfm Holley carbs, Comp cam, and Patriot Tri 5 fenderwell headers. Front axle is an Econoline van, rear axle an 8.8" Ford, and hand built 54" long ladder bars. I did all the interior on this one, except having the two front bucket seats recovered locally. Installed a 6 point rollcage for added chassis strength. Also removed the hood and fenders, and built them into a steel tilt frontend. Still need to do carpet in the Falcon, and maybe paint someday.

Both cars see mostly street driving, with a once a year trip to the Billetproof drags.
