Thanks Keith. This is how I found her and now it is time to make her mine. The first day I got her home my wife and I got in the back seat and my parents drove us around. I am pretty sure they forgot we were there for a while. They had such a great time. The looks on their faces was well worth the price of admission.

Hi Tony and members, Kirk thanks for helping me post pics! The first time I rode in this 48 FLEETMASTER I WAS 6 YEARS OLD, I AM NOW 63 YEARS OLD. 216 STOCK. I HAVE A SET OF ORIGINAL 48 "SPUD" PLATES. SINCE A COUPLE OF THE PICS I WAS ABLE TO GET THE "Idaho CLASSIC PLATE #48 BECAUSE THE INDIVIDUAL WHO HAD IT PASSED AWAY. HIS FAMILY WAS CORDUAL AND SENT A LETTER TO THE IDAHO DMV SAYING I COULD HAVE THAT #48 PLATE #. IN IDAHO YOU ONLY HAVE TO REGISTAR A "CLASSIC" PLATE EVERY SO MANY YEARS. IF I PUT THE 48 SPUD PLATES ON IT WOULD BE EVERY YEAR,SO WHEN I DRIVE IT I PUT THE SPUD PLATE IN THE REAR WINDOW. THANK'S FOR LOOKING!, jOHN

My picture is only a few weeks old,,,48 Stylemaster Sedan Delivery,,needs a bit of buffing and the steerings a little stiff..my first Chevy ever,,we just cant get over the fender extensions,,the cars in this thread look so great all painted and smoothed out...great stuff!

Mainly just the floor pan along the edges the length of the doors. Also the front fenders just in front of the doors. I've already welded in new metal and the floor is solid once again. I re-skinned the rocker panels to cover the existing banged/dented/rusted up metal and reformed the boot scrappers. I repainted the dash in a navy blue and white color scheme and built new door panels using vinyl and carpet. I'
m going to try to add a picture of the interior before I got the dash back in.
