Tony, I was planning on makeing it this year, but I just got laid off AGAIN! Dang, I hate when that happens. Still going to try though. What time were you planning on going? If it's much later than the show ends, I'm not sure I'll be able to hang around. Please let me know what kind of schedule you're thinking about.
Thanks.

I seem to recall we shoot for 7.
Breaking down the site then going home to shower takes me a bit.

You don't need a shower unless you're ahead of the pack during the racing and that actually could work to your advantage as the slower guys behind you stay back!

Art,
I'm usually ahead of the little kids behind us and they always complain the old is slow and stinks too.
I'm just being nice.

THADD, it can be pretty grueling. Especially where Junior does his blocking and stuff.

Junior does half the blocking because his fat A$$ hangs off both sides of the cart, making the thing wider!

I think in football the type of blocking JR does is called "clipping"!
It's one advantage someone JR's girth has an advantage. The shear mass is sure to spin you, a simple law of physics at work.

I'll have you all know I've lost 10 pounds this summer and increased my muscle mass by 10%.
I'm ready for a repeat of last year...

If you gained 10% more muscle?

I think your trying to insult me with that language you use Steve.
I'll tell ya all about how I lost the 10 pounds, where I left it, and how these beefy muscles showed up as replacement fat at CFAC. It's a long story bro.
But sitting around on our butts at CFAC will give me time to bend your ear with it.

As a result of the small number of folks interested in racing we don't qualify for our own heat. We will have to join the general public again this year.

I seem to recall we shoot for 7.
We're thinking of staying another night to visit with friends in Costa Mesa. If you are still short a driver I'll race and possibly my friend Ray also.

Speaking of loosing wieght, I'll just put it this way, I have gone from 206 to 183 on the scale at the gym tonight, dropped from a size 38 waist to a 36, from an XL shirt to a L and as Paul said all at the same tine as adding increased muscle mass.
Still short and bald though!

Tony,
Can we kind of change the track rules a bit to make this interesting?
1st run is the practice run
2nd run is qualifying run.
3rd run is the race, but we invert the field (slowest in front). That will make the action all that much more fun...
And we need some videocams for the helmets.

I figured one of you more affluent types would be all over that helmet cam deal.
AS far as the inversion goes, we can ask the track folks. I'm not sure how long the re-inversion would last though.
