For the Small block TBI trucks, the timing specification is Zero degrees BTDC.

Here is some information I saved for a 1993 S/T truck.

Check and see if your truck is the same.

On 1993 V6 S/T trucks, to set the ignition timing, unplug the set timing connector. The timing connector breaks out of the wiring harness below the heater case in the passenger compartment on the passenger side of the firewall. It is a single wire connector with a tan wire with a black strip.

For those of you that are wondering why you are not getting replies to your thread:

Did you give the model, year, engine, fuel system type, and transmission information?

If your vehicle has been altered from stock, let us know about that too.

Zero is the factory timing. Truck owner sometimes add up to 4 degrees for more power and efficiency. Any more timing requires a chip upgrade.
