I'm bringing two boards, one we can put on Paul's car when he gets there, if he has his racks on top.
Those and a few other 60's surf items...,
You're responsible for bringing the Gidget looking females!
It sure is getting close.., where did the last year go?

Uhhh...surfboard racks? Oh yeah...I do have a set of racks don't I.
I can mount 'em up and you can loan me a board to put on top for the day. Prefereably a very long board...
I live 50 miles inland, and have yet to find just the right used longboard to cart around on top of the red wagon.

I should be pulling into town by 6, will there be anything going on still at the fair grounds? I would be happy to help set up, or drink beer or whatever Anyway, I'm afraid my fo#d buddy Tim won't be able to make, so there's an extra spot, and if his son doesn't want the entry (he'll let me know by tomorrow), I might have an extra entry available if someone needs it. I'll keep you posted.
See Ya

I am detailing my carright now. What time would be good to show up in the morning? I was thinking around like 4:30am.
Also do they allow ice chests? I'm not bringing alcohol but I an bringing food and drinks for the day.

They allow ice chests even if filled with beer, but they frown on glass containers.

Yet another wonderful day in Costa Mesa, though the sun never came out all day...., Seeing all the local CT guys..., (Tony included) makes this the best day of the year.
You all need to make it to this show sometime..., it's unbeiliable! More beautiful cars than you can shake a stick out, just cruising by our spot all day long.

We just got back to our Motel in LA - what a day !!!
WAAAAAY bigger than any other show I have ever seen in Australia , our nationals only gets about 2000 cars. We met a bloke at Donut Derelicts who showed us where to get a nice feed of breakfast then guided us into the fairgrounds - we ended up hanging out with him all day , he gave us heaps of tips on where to go and what is on , etc - had a brilliant day.
"Jesus loves you " - which is GREAT if you are in church , but not so hot if you are in a Mexican prison ! |

Man as usual, Ross and Debbie threw a great party with only about 20,000 of their closest freinds in attendence. Looked like attendence was a little down this year. Although Ross indicated that there were 2900 pre-regestered cars this year my estimate would place the total number of cars somewhere in the 3200 range. I think a combination of the economy and the weather were contributing factors. There were some amazing builds and as usual everyone had a great time despite the sun being so bashful that it stayed behind the clouds most of the day.
Guys if you missed this years show, you should make immediate plans for nezt year. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Bob wish I had seen this before I left, would of liked cruising to Costa Mesa with you and Paul. Thanks for the offer. We left the station at 11:30 and probably passed through Santa Clarita between 12:30 and 1pm.
