I got 2 entry packets in the mail yesterday..., but I paid to enter 4 cars, plus two extra wrist bands. I'm wondering what's going on here?? Maybe the other two will come in today's mail??

All is good, just slap me and call me stupid.
There was a statement on the back of the first envelope I received that read, "two per envelope."

Even if Art did walk out with a bunch of stamps,
it would take a 1/4 pound of the old ones to mail something today. As far as the beach display deal the set-up would be easier than the clean-up.
If we leave a 1/2 yard of sand at our site we might not be welcomed back.

Dang... I just got around to watching that video and boy am I going to feel out of place. I just don't see my car holding up to the quality of work those cars have had haha. Oh well it will be an experience none the less.
Also I have never actually been to the OC fairgrounds so I have almost ZERO idea as to where I am supposed to go for the entrance to the show. I was planning on being down there around 4am. But after that I've got nothing.
Please do not worry about your vehicle measuring up to the rest. The great thing about CFAC is that all levels of vehicle are welcome.
There are lots of "works in progress", drivers,
and other fun rides. The best part of CFAC is just being there, and helping out a great cause.

That about says it all!
Hey guys any more plans regarding the beach theme for this year?
I've got the convertable Vette for my contribution and I know Paul has at least one of the wagons plus Thadd's new Nomad and Art's. Plus I thought I read that Art has the surf boards, so now what we need is the sand, a life guard tower, a couple of blankets, umbrellas, and everyone in beach garb and we have it down pat!
I have just one request though...well considering our collective average age and well the girth of some of us...NO SPEEDOS!!!!

Hey all you SoCal guys. Sorry to tell you that Mary and I will not make it this year. It's a long story, but I've started a new insurance business with my daughters, (hell of a way to retire...)and I'm trying to keep my promise to Mary to finish our old house before we die, so serious restoration is underway. (with some help)
We should be able to make it next year for sure. Sorry, and we'll miss you all and CFAC.

John,
You will be missed for sure, but if I understand it correctly, you will be busy with the new business venture and you will be busy with the house...so any chance sending Mary on a long deserved vacation to sun, surf, and hot rods (and I know JR will have her favorite libation on hand)?
I'm full of ideas (although some would say just plain full of it, but hey what can I say! ) Just looking out for you buddy helping with the marital bliss!

Thanks, guys. It wasn't easy to not come, but life gets in the way sometimes....
Bob, I don't think Mary would come without me, because that would mean I was here alone making decisions on the home restoration.
John,
Translation...wives don't think we can tie our shoelaces without directions!
Same at our house, driving somewhere, cooking, home repairs, and just about anything else. Geez I guess in wife land husbands would be wondering aimlessly bumping into each other, starving, wearing mismatched socks, pants on backwards, and shirts misbuttoned and inside out! Hmmm well maybe they got the mismatched socks part right but that's not because we don't know the difference, it's because guys are smart enough to realize with long pants no one will be able to see them anyway.

Guys I just talked to my buddy with his '55 Fairlane and he said he will be registering at the even. Is there any possibility of getting him a spot near us?
