Anyone have actual MPG figures for the 6 cylinder?

A friend claims she is getting 12 combined according to the computer.

Seems pretty shitty to me.

It would be difficult to believe 12 MPG is all that car will produce. If she is a "modest" driver, I would suspect something is not correct with the computer. For certain she would be covered under the 3yr/36K warranty, if she is beyond miles, coverage would depend on problem found.

Yeah, right. 12 mpg in a V6? Surely you jest.

My avg mpg with driving like a grandma was like 25. My real world driving which is not overly aggressive is more like 22/23. But that's with my route which is about 80%hwy 20% city and an injen long tube intake.

I have pretty well gotten a consistent 23-24 MPG with mine in normal driving, whereby I am pretty easy on a car. Mine is also a manual. I have gotten higher mileage on a cross country trip from Ohio to AZ, in the 28-29 range. If this person is only getting 12 MPG, then she is doing nothing but short stop and go trips of less than 40 MPH. My Mother in Law has a "10 Cobalt, which on the trip from Florida to Ohio, got about 35.5 MPG. BUt her daily short trips of less than 7 miles of stop and go she only gets in the low 20's out of a 2.2 four cylinder.
