Just added another project to my list.I'll have to live to be 175 years old now to get them all finished....but it was a good deal
A complete 73 Vega GT with very very little rust. Amazing find I think. I have a 4.3 V6 with only 61K miles on it I think I will swap in.

Got the Vega home last weekend.Turns out to be a 72. I've never started a project with a body this good.....not sure what to do first.
The passenger door window was broken out, but I found a guy nearby that had a bunch of extra parts from a Cosworth Vega he scrapped. He practically gave them to me to get them out of his way. He even threw in a complete cosworth motor with the header.

Listen, sounds like way too much to tackle! Just pack up that Cosworth and ship me the car and motor, I'll save you from all that hassle!

You pay shipping of course. Added another Vega to the parts pile yesterday. This one is a yellow 71. I bought it for parts for $400 because it had a good windshield and gas tank and a few other parts I needed. That thing is like a flashing "free beer" sign. As soon as I unloaded it off the car dolly people were stopping and asking if it was for sale. I grabbed some tools and pulled off the parts I needed and within 2 hours had it sold for $500.

Cool....those make nice aquariums. A guy stopped by last night that saw the yellow parts Vega in my driveway. He has an all original yellow 72 Vega notchback with 21K miles on it.He has all the paperwork on it from when it was new. He bought it locally about a year ago for $1000.

That's cool, but those notch backs are ugly step brothers of the hatchback and wagon.
