How do you open the hood with a dead battery?
A friend of my son just bought a newer model vette and called my son and ask him, he then called me to ask how do you open the hood.
My car is a 55 Chevy and I told him he may can get a charger to plug in the lighter and let it charge a little and then pop the hood.
I was just guessing.
Any Ideals?
Thanks

Steve - he needs to pull the key out of the fob and stick it in the keyway back at the license plate, this will open the hatch. Then inside the back to the left near the wheeelhouse is a tab to pull that will open the driver door, then open hood by pulling the lever down in the footwell on the left under the dash.

I had a customer who had the key on his fob and had no idea what it was for.
It was'nt until his battery went dead from not parking in reverse when he learned. His salesman probably just threw him the key/fob and said "good luck", and he never read his manual.

Be sure and 'test' your key in the hatch lock. There have been some that aren't adjusted correctly and the key won't open the hatch. I've tested mine
