The hood for the storage trunk on my dad's '67 Monza is not closing. After looking at the lock it seems okay, but I noticed that the hood is flush in the close position on the driver side but the passenger side is up about 1" to 1.5". I would think that that's what is causing the problem. I am not body guy, but could I adjust the hood myself or is this a job for an expert? The hing goes under the cowl through the firewall so it looks hard to get to. Any special tools needed to adjust it.

I'm not exactly understanding what your problem is. I can't imagine the truck lid sticking up 1"-1-1/2" on one side with out the lid itself being twisted! A picture would help a ton. Adjusting the trunk lid (and engine lid for that matter) is an easy matter. You'll need to remove the cowl, which is real easy, to get to the half of the hinges that bolt to the body. I'm not real sure that's going to buy you anything, but, as I said before, I'm not having a complete vision of the problem......

Apparently the hood latch was a little loose......that's all it was to cause the problem.
