Hi, I've got a '69 BBC Camaro. Former race car, recently added lights, wiring, horns and exhaust as conversion to prostreet. The last step is wipers; the original firewall was smoothed and a panel fabricated and installed over it. I'm looking for a windshield wiper kit for the car. There's NOTHING there today...everything under the cowl was removed long ago. No motor, transmission, etc. I've heard systems that use a remotely located motor with a cable-drive. Sounds perfect. Any of you have any recommendations? I'm really interested in brands/source.

Without it in front of me I can't be 100% I THINK it's a rain gear system but if you Google for hideaway wiper system it should come up it's what I bought for my prostreet just have to install it. Same thing everything up front was removed the cowl holes welded and smoothed over so I bought a regular cowl and had it paint matched. You CANNOT use the original wiper switch so a new hole will need to be made in the dash from what I can tell, the wiring is all new as well and the entire unit hides under the cowl so no issues with that huge wiper motor block sticking out and since I have a blown 498 I don't have the room for that anyway. This is the kit I bought:
