Does anyone know the distance for the pivot point for a rotisserie on a 49 Chevy Fleetline Deluxe? It's the fastback style.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, it's on 20 just west of where we always eat.

Progressing slow, but I knew it was going to be a slow one. Too many projects going on at one time! And it ain't all car related either!

I do have the frame off and the guy that welding the Camaro front clip under it is supposed to come by and pick up the frame probably Thursday or Friday, depending on when it quits raining!

Just about got it hooked up to the rottiserie. I've got to make an adapter to fit on the front of the 49 to fit. The rotisserie is about 4 inches wider than where the mounts are.

I hope these photos help you. I don't have the measurements but this will get you in the ballpark.

Good luck!

Rusty, thank you very much for the pictures. I can go off visuals as to where the pivot point is!

Looks like around 16 to 18" on the front and 4 to 6" on the back.

Was it pretty well balanced at that point?

This will be a big help.

Thanks again!

It wasn't perfect but was workable. I was able to rotate it without getting thrown to the ground or flipped over the top!

The shell took about 25 bags of sand and 3 cases of Beer to complete....

Which seemed heavier? The top or the bottom? Maybe I can adjust a little to compensate.

Thanks for the help!

Bottom was slightly heavier but another adjustment made it worse the other way. I was just too lazy to drill more holes in the column. If you notice I'm low to the ground because I wanted to spin it in my garage with an 8" ceiling height. In order to do that I had to drop my frame link 6" on one end so the cowl would clear.

Keep us posted!

Arnie....that does sound pretty darn good!! Love the smoked chickies!!

Rusty, I'm in the same situation. After I get it all sanded, blasted and cleaned up I'm going to put it in the garage...8' ceiling.

Thanks for the help.

Well thank ya Brucie Wucie. There may be times when I know I'm going to work on the old 49, but right now it's hit and miss.

Going to have total knee replacement SOON so that will put things on hold!

Thanks for the offer. I'll get back to you when a time comes up!
