to an old friend. Sold my 2000 hardtop to a guy who saw it at the Pleasanton Goodguys. Tough to see it go, wife had tears but I had to thin the herd.

It was never advertised, just in the GG car corral one day. People were all over it until they asked the mileage, 170K, and then would go silent and walk away. The Corvette guys couldn't believe the car, especially at the price I was asking. I would tell them the mileage and they say "So what!". Finally, this guy saw it and was hooked and has a buddy with a C5 who said it was more a matter of how the miles were put on. He bought it with the original clutch still in it and working fine.

Sometimes hard to say goodbye to a great car with so many good memories. How much did you get for it?

I know the feeling. Every time I sell one, I end up getting another. You'll be back. I'm on my 7'th one now.
