I think you win that catagory on ChevyTalk. I think my 1931 coach comes in second.
I`m waiting for the day I can drive it to the local tri-five club gathering, and yell out the window....
"I`m looking for a group of guys, supposed to have some OLD Chevys, know where they are?"
LOL!

That's a good idea. Now you've given me something to look forward to.

A year or so back I was invited to an "old car" show. There was one 1939 Chevy, original and unrestored,a laye 30's Buick that had been rodded, a few cars from the late 50's, all rodded, and a bunch of newer vehicles, all rodded. Yep, I fit right in.

Any thoughts on why the distribution is negatively skewed?

I'm really surprised to see the 30-39 group is doing so poorly! But give me about a year and a half; I'll join y'all in the 40-49...

Oh what the heck, now that the "secret" is out I guess I can set my profile to show my age.

To answer my own question, looks like we Chevy enthuiasts are gradually becoming antiques like our cars. Since Chevy has lost touch with the enthuiast, they are not attracting any new, younger followers.

They are building cars where the main objectives are maximizing profit and thus staying in business.

With the exception of the Corvette, and maybe the new Camaro, Chevy "performance" products (a.k.a., all the SS labeled rides, are overpriced underachievers.

It is what it is, but still sad.

Who is building good looking, affordable and exciting performance cars? It' ain't Toyota and Honda.

Pontiac, thats who. Pontiac is GMs "value performance" line and it looks like that will be coming to an end. They say all Pontiacs will be discontinued with exception of the G3 coming out next year. JB

theres a younger older generation of chevy lovers the problem isnt the people its the guys that have the old cars! tehy either dont want to sell it or they want way to much for it, i met a guy the other day who had a P.O.S chevelle it wasnt a ss or anything he wanted over 4k for it! and it was a four door! im guessing he thought each door was worth a grand.

Looking at the last two age groups we may need to form an older than dirt club.

If we could talk every member of CT into entering their real birthdate into their profile, Tony could find the average age pretty easily by checking the database directly.
