Was there any thing unique about the blocks used for the Cosworth engines? or were they the standard vega blocks.
Im talking the block itself not the internals..

Yes, the Cosworth block was unique

A few differences... the blocks used for Cosworth production were the "best of the best".

Oil drain back provision on the oil pump (which bolts onto the block)
Oil restrictor for the cylinder head
crank case breather vent tube - which would have to be added.
