1989 GMC Sierra, 5.7 liter. Recently tuned up, but after two weeks, it's running sluggish again. Replace distributor, rotor button, plugs and wires, fuel filter and knock sensor. I noticed that after a weather change, where it got cooler, the engine ran better, but after it got hotter, all on the same day, the engines efficiency nose dived. Any suggestions?

Wow, 2 newbies in a row. Same answer, try the 88-98 Trucks forum. The moderator is pretty sharp on these trucks. Welcome to CT!

When I had an engine that wouldn't hold a tune, it turned out that the cam was entering the afterlife. As the lobes wore down, the tuning would get farther off.
