What the heck??? Why did they chop the top off? The doors are so heavy that they are going to make the rest of the body sag in time. With the roof not being there to support the weight of the doors, it will weaken the whole body. What a piece of sh**t!

I guess I'm in the minority but i think it's a cool ride.......well.......let me clarify..... the concept of a convertible at least!!!

And.......maybe they braced the floors after they chopped the top so it won't sag, like other factory convertibles. who knows? you can only tell so much from the picture.

I can do without the roll bar, the wild paint, ground effects, purple plastic headlight lenses, and the exaggerated cowl hood. I think i'd also probably angle the windshield down a bit (if i had the know-how!!).

I've always wanted to see a G3 convertible....its a shame a hardtop was sacrificed, but who knows- maybe it evolved from a damaged or rusty roof.

Mark me down for "I like it!". You got to admit not only would that car turn heads on it's own but add 3 cute girl to the picture and thats pretty cool. Now if you put three guys in hot pants with head bands in the car it would totaly su*k!
Looks to me like it was done very well and thought out and not just slapped together. I'd like to see what they did with the interior.
Is there more pictures somewhere?

That thing looks all, or mostly, fiberglass. Look at the front fender...no original lines to it. The nose is molded into the fenders. I think I recall seeing full fiberglass body kits for a 73 Laguna before...

You know, Kyle, you just might have something there. US Body carries the whole body shell and you can tell this machine is well built and well thought out, and that driver could build me a car any time she wants to. JB

Cute girls

At least the entire front clip is Fibreglass

Roll bar is 100% structural only way to keep it together without alot of extra bracing.

They DID cut the roofs off Fox mustangs which flex far more than a 73 Chevelle :roftl:

Hey if they can make a 70 convertible then there is 0 reason why that car cannot be one. The frame is way stronger and heavier than a G2 frame. And I will ASSume they boxed it like Gm would have. I like it to a point but I would still approach the chickies and ask "whet the H" did you do to the car? Although maybe I would just be hitting on her.
