My name is Tony.
The story behind my screen name, LILRD66, is the name on the antique personal license plate on the first truck, Red '66 Chevy C10 lwb fleetside, I acquired in my '64-'66 Chevy truck collection. My signature came from the trucks that I like, '64-'66 Chevy trucks, shortened to 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks. Kind of a spin off of the Tri-5 Chevy cars of the fifties.
All of my trucks are know by a seven number/letter name, because that is what is on the license plate of most of them. I guess when you have a house full of kids you have to give each one of them a name. My first truck was a '65 Chevy C10 lwb fleetside truck in 1980. The personalized license plate was MOTOR-N, from the song by Night Ranger, aptly named Sister Christian (Motoring), but that wouldn't fit. I thought is was a nice parody.
That's my story behind the screen name and signature.
Tony

My screen name is kind of obvious. My real name is one of a kind. I go by my middle name in the real world. My father would not let my mother name me after him, Leonard Lee Spoonemore, so she named me after her dad, Lowery Lee. His mother named him after the Lowery organ that they had at church. She thought it was a good name. Heck, I would have settled for the Leonard moniker but I didn't have any say at the time.

Steve, Stephen, Lil Stevie B, I use Junior cause Tony gave me that name for using a free account and not having a bunch of posts. (real reason is at 6'2" 260 lbs. I am shorter and have less girth than he does.)

Rogelio Tristán . I tell people to call me Rog (pronounced "rahj").
to be 100% honest, I dont like being called Roger at all IRL, but I let it slip online because Rogelio is a long word to type.

I'm Steve, except to my Grandmother who just turned 100 on Friday, she calls me Steven or Stevie. But she's the only one who can get away with it (I'm 6'4" - 250Lbs) My CAtech name comes from what I'm known as at work where I am the technical representative for a manufacturer of high performance radiators and oil coolers. Been a Chevy guy since 1965 when I lived two houses down from the Beebe family of drag racing fame (Beebe & Mulligan top fueler)
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

My name is Richard, but very few people call me that.
Family and close friends call me Rick, but most everyone associated by work or vehicles, and a lot of other stuff, know me as Van.
If you call where I work and ask for Richard, you will get someone else.
Fixitfox was a name tagged to me by my daughter when she was young,.....she thought I could fix anything, like the kids book Mr.FixitFox, so I used it for a computer name, and it has stuck also.
And I like Beer, although I will drink the occasional glass of wine._________________

My name is Jack, named after my uncle also(Dad's side of family), my grandma said: "we need to keepa the name in the family". Screen name comes from my love for the '57 Chevy and CW, Chevrolet Wagon. I have been called other names like Jackman, Jackson, the Jackster, Mad Jack, Jacky as a kid(which only my relatives got away with). Music has always been in my family through the generations, the rest is in my profile.

Wow. Looks like I'm one of the few who haven't posted in this thread?
RJ. That's my screen name and my name. (Jeffs55 and a few others better not tell anyone either)
Got a nickname that every one calls me (besides the love name an ex-girlfriend called me a lot) to distinguish between my father & I.
But I'm not posting that either.

First, I don't know how I missed this. I must be getting old. The name is Dale. I was born in 58 and grew up in a Chevy dealer ship in Chevrolet's glory years. My dad ran their body shop . He would throw his dealer tag on every Corvette , big block Camaro, or GTO traded in. I don't think there was ever a GM muscle car built that he didn't bring home for a weekend. He loved the small blocks the most. I still can here him in a 69 Z28 saying " listen to that engine sing". That's why till this day I run small blocks with 5.13 gears on the street. Ya gotta hear them sing . My email for years now has been "LONGLIVEGM" , but that maybe coming to a end soon.
1960 Bel-air, 355 4-speed, 5.13s. Drive it like ya stole it! Old school, before the bandwagon came by. I "was" the chosen one. I broke the chains that bound me, and they snapped back and hit me in the head. |

2Loose? Well, 2 rear tires making lotsa smoke....
Could be other things too, but I ain't sayin'....
Well, maybe this:
My Dad was fond of sayin' I wuz "the loose feather in the bird cage...."
If you've spent any time around birds, you'll know what that is....
which morf'd into Too Loose when I started driving....
As Dad had all the parts out behind the shed to put together a 42 military jeep, which I got running when I was 14. got caught running it through the orchard in 4wd at full throttle doing a slalom race between the fruit trees....
"But, Dad, I didn't hit any of 'em...."
And I been Aloha Willy a long, long time....
Aloha,
Willy

I don't know how I missed this thread either. My real name is Stephen Middleton Pratt, but only my Mother called me that, and only when she was mad!
Jalapeno is the name of my restored 55. It's actually my WIFE'S 55, since it was her Great Uncle William Arch Dye (that's him in my avatar in Jan 58) who bought the 55 new in San Antonio at Smith Motor Sales. The name came about because of the color combo (two-tone green) and the South Texas history of the car.

I got the nickname Tinman when I used to reposess vehicles.
A lady said that I must be the "Tinman" because I didn't have a heart.
It was the day before Thanksgiving one year and I repo'd her truck at the grocery store, she had 3 carts of stuff.
In my defense she had not payed her note in almost 1 yr and had been hiding the vehicle.
I did not feel sorry for her.
I was just doing my job.
ANYWAY she said this infront of my boss and a few coworkers and it stuck.
The 05 was added for the number on my racecar that we ran at HOTROD HILL in Bryan, TX.
We (Boss and I) were the Texas Outlaw Bomber Association (TOBA) Champs for 2005 after that we stopped racing due to the break up of TOBA.
Real name is Barney.
