Hey Rembo, here you have another piece of information for your mexican assembled Bel Air:

Back in the days, GM Mexico did not strictly follow the "original color combinations" used by assembly plants in US, those that you can find listed in different books and web sites for 55-57 Chvrolets. You can find cars matching the original Chevrolet colors and patterns, original colors but not original patterns, and you can also find others using colors from Pontiac or other GM brands in any pattern.

Yours rolled out the factory wearing a combination of Coral (253-57990) and Shadow Gray (253-57631).

As I'm sure you have noticed on yours, the mexican assembled units had no information at all stamped on the cowl tag, but painting is available on the VIN plate.
