Nice ride,I've got a 51 2dr/ht.It still needs a lot of work yet. Where'd you get the front bumper redone, or is it new?

@slosteve: True, unfortunately it's photoshop

It's a little heigher actually, but the above picture would be the end-result for me, preferably even lower!

Nice cars, I am a huge Pantera fan, do you have a rolling garage door to fit your lift?

Thanks for the comments all on my blue 53. And to Ralph47, the garage door does not role up into a ball type of set up, it is just a regular garage door that elevates over the cars on rails. It is quite precise in measurements, but I have to back the top car in since the front hood is low so that the garage door fits nice just over the hood. Going head first isn't possible since the rear of the car is so high the door would hit. It is a trip backing it in, as the cars are so wide that each rear wheel has to be off the ramp about 1" on each side, so Valium helps when backing it in.

As for larger wheels on my blue 53, those 15" just look old school. Check out the red 54 convertible in my 53 chevy folder link, as I am thinking of going with something like that. The rear wheels look bitchin, deep dish...I wonder what those are?

Nice, I measured mine for my old MR2 and my old Integra under it, and the door would of had to be raised, or add a rolling door in.

I do like those deep rims on that 54, I think they would look really good on yours, with your blue paint.

Lowding, your MR2 should work on the top lift I would think if you are able to stack them, since the door would go over the low hood when you backed it in. As you can see from mine, I stopped my garage door from fully opening and there is tons of room with the door over the front hood. I tried to do a photoshop enlargement of the wheels to compare large and small. I kind of like the larger appearance as shown in the two links below. I am not sure how to post photos here yet, so I just gave the two links, and kind of like the larger appearance:

15 Inch wheels here as currently on the car:

Larger photoshop enlarged wheels here:

Jan, your 15s are definately too small... That's for sure. I would even try to go bigger as what you've photoshopped if that's possible for you!

Maybe try some wheels out at a local shop?

while the big wheels do look good on your car..i will share this with you..but it is all your choice.

2 yrs ago last oct, i sold a 39 chevy..a clone of my coupe to a guy out of state.

when it was delivered he and his wife took it out for a test drive..said they ended up almost a 200 mile round trip...his wife just kept saying how much better it rode than their 55 chev or 32 ford. my car had 15" goodyears..teir cars..17 and 18 inchers...chip foose cars ...the problem is..NO sidewalls..he says if they run over a sucker stick you can feel it...they have since done the power tour in it..had a ball..

but again..all your choice..a lot of folks go for looks above all else..others it is all performance...myself..like to look good...but love a car that rides and handles..we take them out sometimes for 2 weeks vacation rides

Here is my 51 that I just bought. Solid Arizona car, no rust. Runs and drives OK. Need to check out the front end and decide if I will leave the original and add a power rack or replace with a Must II type. Planning on putting in a '90 350 TPI with a 700r4. Interior has been stripped, so will have to do a complete interior. Hope I can get started on it after the holidays.
