Hey guys. I usually hang out in the 49-54 forum but I have a couple questions here.
I have been thinking of looking for a 64 Corvair convertible. The 64 because that is the year I graduated and a convertible because I want a convetible.
I know absolutely nothing about Corvairs so bare with me. I would like a car that is capable being a part time daily driver (along with my 51 Styline). I would also like to use it for a few short vacation trips.
Is it feasible to think I can find a car like this that won't beak the bank? What are some things that I should look for and what should I be aware of? What were the problem areas.
Any and all help appreciated, Pete

Again, I know nothing about Corvairs. Is it realistic to think that a '64 in, good condition, would be capable of highway speeds for a 300-400 mile trip?
Thanks, Pete

Well my 62 with the 105 HP engine took me 50,000 miles a year in a state with no speed limit.

Would you be interested in considering a '63 4-speed convertible?

I didn't have a PM alert and had to look for your PM. Thought I'd let you know that I replied.
