Ill try to keep this short but with vital info. Im swapping in a SD TPI in my 87 K5 blazer. All new engine from the ground up. Aftermarket standalone wiring harness. 7730 ECM with vats and EGR removed programmed for the Crane 2040 TPI cam. Everything is hooked up. I have spark at all 8 plugs, and signal to all 8 injectors (new 24# injectors, SFI AFPR, 340lph fuel pump). Im getting combustion on #1 and #2 cylinders. But #3-#8 injectors are not opening even though they have signal. Those plugs are dry and do not smell of fuel. Ill be doing a fuel pressure test after work today.
Does anyone know of anything else I should look into?
Thanks for any and all help!

When you say the injectors have a signal, you mean a noid lite flashes at the connector, or you have 12v only? As you know the pcm completes the circuit to pulse the injector, you should be able to see individual pulse width when cranking or running on the suspect injectors, on your lap top or scanner.

I was checking with a noid light. I get a double flash from the light while turning it over. Im not sure I know how to test the voltage at the injector unless its as simple as probing the pig tail? Also i am not hooked up to a computer for any of this.I dont have the software or the cables to do so. Thank you for the reply.

If you have 12v to the injectors and the noid lite flashes, then the pcm is activating the injectors, so either they are bad or the fuel pressure is very low, again, to avoid guess work, you need a quality scanner and the know-how to analyze the the readings. You should be able to hear ticking from the injectors using a stethoscope on the body of the injector if they are working.

Thanks shepherd. I tested the injectors individually. 5 of the 8 were not pulsing. They are new remans. Never been ran before. Looks like I'm going a new route.
