Contemplating putting Edelbrock 780 on my built 427 w/ Edelbrock Intake. Spread Bore or Square Bore ? Appreciate Suggestions. Thanks

May I suggest you consider a square bore, dual feed, vacuum secondary 750 cfm Holley? Buy the Holley book: Holley Carburetor Handbook by HP Books and you'll find it extremely helpful in tuning the carburetor.

The factory carb on the Hi-Perf BBC in the Camaros was a Holley 4053 which is available new from Holley.

Original builder of the Gobstomper - '56 210 9 passenger wagon now in other's hands. Current Ride is '69 X33D80 Z28 Camaro

i would say it depends on primary accelerator pump shot volum. if you cant get enough volume you will never get it to run right. of course this all depends on how the car is driven. if you drive like a grandma almost any carb will work.

70 L camino, grampa engine, g-force 5 spd, road rage suspension. Pray first before all else fails.
