I'd like to find the parts to be able to mount my gas pedal assembly to the firewall instead of having the pedal pivot on the floor. Any suggestions??

Hey Persh,

Check out the GMT400 truck (1988-1998 body style) gas pedal; sounds just like what you're looking for. Skip the diesel trucks unless it's pre-1994 as those are electronic. Should be plentiful and inexpensive in the boneyards.

I agree. I used a pedal out of a early 90's truck when I put a TPI motor in my '65 truck. It allowed me to put a cable throttle linkage in for the TPI throttle body. I used screws to attach it to the firewall, and then cut a hole in the firewall with a square hole to match the stock application. As I recall, I ended up bending the end at a right angle for clerance reasons, and it also allowed more pedal travel for the throttle.
