After many years of procrastinating I'm back on the road with my 65 292 c10.Finally driving, I've put about 600 miles on in the last 6 weeks. Initially, when the odo would go from 9.9 to 0, the speedo would sweep back and forth and in I t gave off a ticking sound. Now, going from 27,999 to 28,000 its been ticking and sweeping back and forth for about a hundred miles! Can I lube it in the number display or something w/o taking it all apart? TIA!

IMHO, that sounds like more trouble than removing the speedo cable.
