Hi All, I am in the final stages of completing a major panel and paint of my 1960 C1.Part of the overhaul included re-chroming of the windscreen pillars and as my top molding was dented and damaged, I have replaced the molding with a new one. I am reassembling the Molding and channel now and would appreciate advice on whether the steel channel the glass rubber fits into is designed to clip fully into the molding and the two lips of the stainless molding are supposed to clip over the channel please?. I am having trouble assembling the two and wonder whether I am trying the impossible.

Just did this job around a year ago. If I recall I just banged it down with a rubber mallet. There are a couple of screw holes that need to line up....
