Hi I have an after market setup for AC that came with an 1980's era Saginaw Power steering pump.

It has developed a little leak in the connection from the high pressure hose to the pump. I took the hose off and was surprised NOT to find an o-ring on the line. I purchased a small o-ring based off of research but it doesnt seem to help.
It looked like the original line is just flared and is clamped down by a 16mm nut that encompasses the high pressure line.
Any advice on if there should be an o-ring in there? Can I use Teflon plumbers tape?

Im not sure how tight that connection should be, Ive heard hand tight to not too tight, I would think you dont want the connection nut spinning around.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
