I did some searching on this site but was not able to find the answer to my question. I am going to have the rims for my 1955 repainted (not interested in powder coating). How should they be painted? Should the entire rim be the color or is the rim primered in black and then only the front is painted the correct color?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Scot

Four wheels on car should be body color outside and semi-gloss black on the inside. Spare wheel should be body color on both sides.
That info is courtesy Classic Chevy International.

Thank you CT for having Archives! I didn't realize that the spare tire rim was all body color and the 4 main rims were body color on the outside and gloss black on the inside. There is so much knowledge on this site!
