My oil filter adapter Fram HPK1 is supposed to take a PH8 filter but it only makes 1/2 turn before it contacts the gasket. I can unscrew the threaded nipple some but I think it’s flush on top. Any ideas on this? Thanks

Too many problems with Fram Filters. I wouldn't use one. Napa carries a Wix adapter.

I would get a longer nipple. Just test fit it first, then if it is to your liking, reinstall it with a little Loc-tite on the threads then reinstall the filter.
