Way back when late 60's I used to get my parts from the junk yard. I was very young and had little money. I noticed the dash lights on my 59 Impala blinked like Christmas tree lights. Couldn't understand why. After searching for a wire problem and not finding anything wrong I pulled all the bulbs and inspected them. I had used bulbs from various different cars and noticed that some had what appeared to be a ground element inside the bulb. I replaced these bulbs with the correct ones and everything solved. Learning experience for a young kid.

Those bulbs with the flasher element inside were used in cars that had a parking brake warning light.

Those who choose an automatic transmission want transportation. Those who choose a manual transmission want to drive.
