I am using a Helix Steering column out of Portland Oregon
They have instructions for column ignition HEXSTCOL1 & 2

I am trying to marry this with instructions AAW Part 510405

Specifically the 5 Terminal White connector I think correlates to the Helix column with exception I do not see a reference to Neutral safety switch.
1) Starter Solenoid/ Neutral Safety
I removed one purple Neutral Safety from the pre assembled plug ignition switch.

Do I terminate the loose purple wire labeled Starter Solenoid from the main harness into the Ignition plug and then connect the now 2 loose Neutral Safety's to one another with a male female plug?

Or do I use the original Neutral Safety and connect the Starter Solenoid and the 2nd loose Neutral Safety to one another?

2) Battery termination
Helix instructions has a reference to the 2 of 5 middle terminal positions to have a jumper on the battery . Not sure if that means it needs a jumper or that either position could be terminated. I plugged the one battery to where was recommended which lines up with AAW instructions. The jumper drawn on their instructions wasn't sure. I don't think i have one of the terminal ends to even make a jumper with this gauge wire to fit into the plug.

3)
I assume that the feeds for ignition operation are all in the white 5 terminal connector.

And the black 4 terminal connector is to distribute Battery Ignition and Ground for other purposes that may not be needed. They are referred to 4 the black plug area as Ignition, Ground, Ground 2 and Battery

I know it may be helpful if I could post the images of instructions but not sure how to attach a photo on this chat yet. Keeps asking for URL , not sure how to insert a desktop image yet.

I am not familiar with your column, but the NSS has nothing to do with the black and white ignition switch connectors at all. Our instructions explain the function of each of the wires in the ignition switch connector. If you follow those directions, you should be fine.
