Originally I posted this on the 1949-54 sub forum. Today I realized this sub forum existed and saw this is the appropriate place for my post.

Hopefully someone here can help or advise. I’m looking for recommendations for an engine rebuilder in the central part of Arkansas. Russellville/ Conway vicinity. I have done an internet search without much success. Some show up but no real information regarding the quality.

I have a 350 that I had rebuilt in 2006 BUT never ran. It has been sitting in a 1949 Fleetline since its rebuild. My assumption is moisture has gotten inside and caused rust. So I am looking to have it inspected and redone if necessary. I am looking for a stock rebuild. The original place I had it rebuilt has been sold and I have been advised the new owners are not as good.

The motor and truck ,1956 Chevy 3100, are located in central Arkansas where I can work on it but I live near Kansas City. The plan is to get the truck safe and road worthy while the motor is being redone. Then drive it to where I live and work on the bodywork.

Hopefully I have provided enough information.

Thanks.
