Thanks gchemist for your help! You have helped me in the past and I really appreciate it!
I have the original "S-10 models electrical diagnosis and wiring diagrams" for 1991 that I ordered years ago. It just gets a little overwhelming for a plumber. It is a TBI. When the battery is charged, It starts fine and runs good. Could a bad ground be the cause of my problems? No gauges really makes it tough to remember how much gas I have. At least I was close to home when I didn't remember.
Once before I had a similar problem and it was a wire that had rubbed through the insulation and shorted out to a bracket. The big wire cover that holds the loom under the hood has disentegrated so I replaced it but it's really hard to get to it behind the engine/top of the transmission. I'll keep looking. Thanks again. Scott
