Project car came with original Bel Air steering column (from the gear box up) plus a new Ididit tilt kit - both in a box in the trunk. I'm in the process of rebuilding the original assembly for re-installation (if interested in the Ididit please PM me) and the 63 shop manual is not a lot of help to me, esp for the turn signal switch replacement. Any references for these procedures will be appreciated.

Incidentally column is being rebuilt for floor shift - tube is being retained but shifter ears and shift lever mounting "stub" have been cut off and the stub filled and finished - so proper operation/adjustment of the shifter is no longer a necessity. Upper and lower bearings and TS switch are new. An, issue, so far, is that it seems the upper bearing horn ring does not want to fully seat. Appreciate any help that you guys can pass on.

Regards,

Don

PS Just realized that I have an Argo horn ring installation kit (PN 57C 3626) that fits 57 Chev (all models) and 63 Chev Impala only, so it seems I have the wrong kit. Any recommendations?
