Back when I ordered my new 1973 Laguna, one of the options I wanted was the new urethane-faced "turbine-style" wheels. They reminded me somewhat of the C2 Corvette knock-off wheels. My salesman called me later in the week to tell me that the wheels were listed as "unavailable" . . . so I had the car delivered with the stock steel wheels, and promptly went out and bought a set of ET styled steel wheels. It dawned on me in later years that I had never seen an actual set of those urethane-faced wheels on a real car, other than in sales literature illustrations. Were they ever released to the public, or did production issues do them in?
