Appreciate the feedback,
The 216 is a 1950
During the winter upgrades I added the twin Carters, replacing the Rochester, electronic ignition amongst many others, however didn't change the distributor.
This is now the third time this has happened, last time we changed the fuel pump as well as resetting the timing, seems when you go flat to the floor with gas something happens with the timing.
With the HEI Distributor from Stovebolt, does this do away with the original Vacuum, I am enough dollar into this now the 200 for a new distributor will not break the bank.
