I remember Gene saying some '53 235 engines had the captain's bars. This is the first one I've seen first hand. A buddy of mine bought the car--it's a '53 210, 2-door sedan in exceptional shape. Hardly any rust and it runs and drives. PG car. He bought it today and asked me to come look at it. I got all excited when I saw the captain's bars above the starter.
