I bought a GS complete tailgate a couple of years ago and finally got around to fitting it on the car. From the picture, you can see that the new gate is not curved enough (both sides). It is almost 3/16" from matching the body in the center. My original tailgate matches very close (pictures included) but it has significant cancer on the inside steel. The outer skin is good.

I think I have three options:

A. Create patch panels and repair my original gate (I haven't found replacement sheet metal for the inner)
B. Bend the lip of the new GS gate to match the body and blend with filler to the first vertical rib embossment.
C. Use the new gate as is. 99% of people won't notice. (I wish I didn't have such a critical eye)
