I have a friend who is restoring a 235 from a 56 Chev, it's going in a boat. It has a stock oil pan- he'd like to get a spare for when this one rusts out (salt water boat).

What years and pans fit? Are they reproduced? 261?

The shop the boat is in is from 1922 or older so this block is a young'un. Another friend owns the shop, when he got the shop in the early 80's, the planer was being run with either a 4 or 6 cylinder Chevy and a powerglide transmission.

The boat was built in the 50's, when it launches, I'll get you a pic. The fellow doing the boat is in his late 40's, his grandfather designed it and built it, all wood. The motor is original to the boat.

Thanks,
Don
