Carl has it right. You don't want to level the car with something to push up the rear suspension. You want a weight distribution hitch. A weight distribution hitch will, as the name suggests, distribute the weight between the front and rear suspensions. A weight distribution hitch does not necessarily work against sway, although many are designed with an anti-sway feature built into them.

I use a Reese anti-sway / weight distribution hitch when towing with my truck (2003 Silverado SS). Without the bars in place, the front end feels light and the steering not as effective. With the bars in place, everything feels normal.
