Hello I have a 1955 Chevy Nomad that was just finished up a years ago and it didn't have the eyebrow chrome. Now I have the eyebrow chrome and want to find someone in the Denver area to drill the holes again and install the eyebrow chrome. Thanks for any help with this. Bruce |

I doubt you will find anyone who will be willing to drill those holes on a fresh paint job. One wrong move and POOF you're refinishing the fender. I'm curious why you didn't leave the factory holes open in the first place?

Drilling holes is no big deal. A center punch and some tape will go a long way to make sure the bit doesn’t walk and the paint doesn’t chip too badly. The holes were probably either patched because the very scarce original trim was missing (and reproductions are rather expensive and can vary in quality) or the fenders were replaced with car or regular wagon fenders. The biggest problem is figuring out exactly where to drill the holes. It’s hard to make a template for a round surface like the area over the headlights. The best way would be to take scrap metal and bend it to the same radius as the fender, figure out where to drill the holes with a little trial and error, lay some making tape over the scrap and mark the holes, transfer the tape to the fender and mark where the holes go. You have to find a way to have a reference point for where exactly to place the tape.

There's a reason that the OP doesn't want to do it and I would guess that the risk of error is why.

I understand that he doesn’t want to do it. I merely answered your question with a plausible explanation as to why the moldings aren’t there and suggest a method that might prove useful to install them for whoever might want to attempt to do it. It may have become plausible for him to do it once a method was suggested.
