I know many of you prefer to keep your cars as original as possible. I plan to restomod mine. Until it warms up a little more, I'm working on the lights. I've switched a front side marker light from a single T10 bulb to 24 leds using inexpensive led strips and T10 male adapters. Here's an example of a front side marker light.

I like tinkering with lights. Couldn't find any amber parking lights for my '53 Belair so I bought a pair of Jeep CJ7 parking lights and ground them down to fit. I also converted my backup lights which were non-operational to amber directional signals and replaced my old sealed beams with H4 bulbs and halo lights...

Well, I was going to refer you to the whole documented process as it was listed under the 49-54 sticky posts but I see it has been removed. I also had a nice sticky about converting 4-door seat skirts to 2-door but I see that's gone also. I thought those articles would be very helpful to someone but I guess not. I no longer have all the documentation.

How are you controlling the sequential blinkers? I plan on having them in my ‘83 Malibu wagon when I get it back on the road and was interested. I found a solid state controller years ago and was curious if you were using those. I think they were called Dynamite Sticks. The original controllers were actually just a rotating wheel with 3 contacts to light each bulb.
