New guy posted in wrong forum.converting pg column to 4 speed any pictures or help would be greatly appreciated thanks. Have turn signal and collar from 4 speed column. |

Not that hard really. I haven't done a Impala steering column but I did the one in my 67 Ramp truck from a tilt auto column to a 4 speed in the floor. I cut the gear selector knob off grounded smooth and filled with Plumbers putty. Let it dry good for a couple of days and sand it smooth and paint. I then took the old NSS switch off and used the 2 screw holes to lock it in place with longer screws. I cut the gear selector arm off at the bottom. Painted it and installed it. Thanks. I was worried about cutting up a nice tilt steering column but after a few video's and talking to a few guy over on the truck board that had done it I went for it. ![]()
