I have the Classic Update Kit (510372) for my 66 Impala. My original key cylinder doesn't seem to go into the new 500684 supplied switch. In fact the insides of the new switch housing look completely different than inside of my old switch housing. Did I miss something or is buying the new recommended 500674 lock cylinder mandatory. I've already wired the new supplied plug-in and would really like to use the new switch housing. Thanks, Eric

You have 2 options. Use your original switch and tumbler or order our 500674, yes. Donny |

I somewhat anticipated that and ordered that switch several days ago, installed it last night. This Classic Update kit is very impressive. A little intimidating when you first open the box, but the instructions are great. A lot of thought went in to this kit. I'm pleased with the purchase.

Lots of work went into that one, especially the console stuff, LOL. Donny |
